Dear Deer: A Little Embroidery Project

Vandaag maakte ik dit schattige borduurprojektje af. Ik ben gek op hertjes dus ik moest dit patroontje gewoon hebben. Het "ding" op de achtergrond is trouwens een echt stuk gewei. M'n middelste nam dat afgelopen weekend mee naar huis. Hij kreeg het van z'n vriendje wiens opa een klein dierenpark bezit ( maar mijn hemel... dit ding stinkt... phewww...!!!).

Today I finished this cute little embroidery project. I love deers dearly so I had to have this pattern. The "thing" in the background btw is a real deerhorn. My middlest took it home last weekend. He got it from his friend who's granddad owns a little animal park (but oh my... this thing smells.... phewwww...!!!).

I decided to combine it with a cute grey check, the pattern is available at Atelier Soed Idee

en ik voegde er nog wat kant en een paar knoopjes aan toe (verkrijgbaar bij Your Zoap)

and I added a few buttons and lace (available at Your Zoap)

En als finishing touch vulde ik het zakje met dit heerlijke geurtje, zo jammer dat jullie het niet kunnen ruiken want het ruikt echt zalig!

And as a finishing touch I filled the sachet with this gorgeous scent, it's a pity you can't smell it cause it really smells heavenly!

Samen met een paar kleine vogelhuisjes en geruite kippetjes, gekocht bij Bloembinderij Ma-d'r-Liefjes

Together with 2 little birdhouses and checked chickens, bought at Bloembinderij Ma-d'r-Liefjes

Maarre... denk dat ik 'em voorlopig nog even laat hangen zo! Teveel werk om het alleen maar voor de Pasen te houden!

Butttt... I think I'm gonna let it hang this way for a while! To much work for just Easter!




CFY #8: Just Be You

Toch vanmiddag nog op de nipper de challenge van deze week gemaakt, geloof dat ik nog nooit zo snel een l.o. af had! Maar met de Paasdagen en al het werk in de tuin kwam het er gewoon niet van, toch vond ik de sketch te leuk om te laten schieten!

In the nick of time I made this l.o. this afternoon, I think I've never been faster before! But with the 2 Easter days and all the work in the garden I had no time to make it earlier, but I loved the sketch to much to let it go!

Project 10: Tea-Box

Vandaag vieren m'n middelste Luuk en ik onze verjaardagen. Ik wilde de thee wel een beetje in stijl presenteren, dus ik besloot een eenvoudige theedoos op te pimpen.



Today my middlest Luuk and I are celebrating our birthdays. I wanted to serve the tea in style so I decided to pimp up a simple tea box.

Een stukje borduurlinnen, rood en wit borduurgaren, restjes kant, een klein stukje prachtig band (Your Zoap), knoopjes en een schattig theepotbedeltje (het Witte Luik)

A little piece of embroidery linen, red and white embroidery floss, scraps of lace, a little piece of beautiful ribbon (Your Zoap), buttons and a cute silver teapot (het Witte Luik)

En zo staat het op m'n aanrecht, naast de koekjespot. Een leuk stel samen hè!

And so it stands on my kitchensink, next to the cookiejar. Cute couple hey!

Dit schilderijtje is een kadootje van m'n oudste zoon Tim, hij maakte het voor mijn verjaardag. Het is een portret van Sheldon, een typetje uit de tv-serie The Big Bang Theory, dat we altijd samen kijken. Het is echt ons soort humor.

This painting is a gift from my eldest son Tim, he made it for my birthday. It's a portrait of Sheldon, a character from The Big Bang Theory, a serie on the telly we both love to watch. It's our kind of humor.

En voor vandaag maakte ik deze taart, nou ja alleen de versiering hoor!

For today I made this cake, well, just the decoration!

Ik deed afgelopen week een workshop taart decoreren met een stel meiden

I did a workshop last week with a couple of girls

Eigenlijk zou ik een jongens taart maken voor Luuk, maar daar had ik toen even geen inspiratie voor en toen heb ik deze maar voor hem besteld, hij vond het super!

Actually I wanted to make a boy's cake for Luuk, but I had absolutely no inspiration for something boy-ish, so I ordered this one for him. He loved it!

Don't know if I'll be creative this week, cause I've busy schedule, we'll see!

De liefde hangt weer in de lucht!

Love is in the air!

Het is weer een projekt voor het designteam van Your Zoap geworden, dus al deze leuke spulletjes zijn bij Gepke verkrijgbaar.

Ik heb gebruikt: een houten hart, to-do papier, lijm, verf, kant, ruches elastiek, parelmoer knoopjes, stukje borduurlinnen en wit borduurgaren

It's another project I made for Your Zoap's Creative Team, so you can order all these lovely goodies at Gepke's webshop.

I used: a wooden heart, to-do paper, glue, paint, lace, ruffle elastic, pearl-shell buttons, piece of embroidery linen and white embroidery yarn

Valentine's heart part 2

Weten jullie nog dat ik dit pakketje bestelde bij Jit-Design?

Do you remember I ordered this kit at Jit-design?

Ik maakte het hart met het monogram van mijn mannetje en vulde het met wat lavendel

I made this heart with the monogram of my hubby and filled it with some lavender

Gewoon omdat hij de liefste is!

Just because he's the sweetest!

En hij is nog steeds zo schattig als op deze foto!

And he still is as cute as on this picture!

En dit boekje kwam ik tegen bij de boekhandel, Knuffels Om Te Naaien van Marie Claire, ja, dat kun je toch gewoon niet laten liggen???

Hier gaan m'n volgende Valentijnsprojektjes uit komen, voor mijn 3 lieve monstertjes!

I bumped into this cute little book at the bookstore, Stuffed Toys To Sew from Marie Claire, well, coul'dn't resist that one of course!

My next Valentine projects for my 3 sweet monsters will be from this book!
