Summer Wreath

Als ik mijn woonkamer verander, horen daar gewoon verse bloemen bij, anders is het zo... nou ja, zo niet-af...

When I change my livingroom, I just need to add flowers, otherwise it's... well it's just not finished...

Ik heb het rood weer terug gebracht in huis voor een heerlijk zomers gevoel (alhoewel het weer op dat moment nog erg grijzig was), en ik besloot een zomerse krans te maken

I put the reds back in the house for a lovely summer feeling (althought the wheater was still very grey), and I decided to make a summer wreath

Heel eenvoudig heb ik op een Oasis krans hortensia, kleine frisse groene appeltjes, hypericum, rozenbotteltjes en nep aardbeitjes en kersjes gestoken

Very simple, on a oasis wreath I used hydrangea, little fresh green apples, hypericum, rose hips and fake strawberries and cherries

In het midden heb ik een glazen stolpje gezet met een rood geruite strik

In the middle I put a glass bell jar with a red checked ribbon

Fris en fruitig! Ik ben klaar voor een heerlijke zomer!

Fresh and fruity! I'm ready for a wonderful summer!

Vintage Wallhanger

Ik had nog wat papier over, het mdf frame had ik al in huis, dus ik besloot om opnieuw een vintage projekt te maken. Het weer is nog steeds hopeloos, dus tijd om wat leuks te doen! M'n nieuwe borderpunch lag al ongeduldig op me te wachten (en owww... wat istie leuk!)

I had some papers left, and I already had this mdf frame, so I decided to make another vintage project. The weather is still terrible, so time to do some fun things! My new borderpunch was waiting for me impatiently (and owww... it's so cute!)

Some details:

Natuurlijk gebruikte ik het prachtige rozenlint weer! De oude klos komt uit eigen voorraad

Of course I used the gorgeous rose ribbon again! The vintage spool comes from my stock

Dit is m'n nieuwe punch! Voegde er plakparels aan toe en maakte een banner

Ik knipte het kleine meisje uit en gaf haar vlindervleugeltjes

I cut out the little girl and gave her butterfly wings

Vintage Shadowbox

Man oh man... wat een verschrikkelijk weer! Het regent de hele dag al pijpestelen... Maar het is wel perfect weer om lekker te freubelen!

My oh my... what a terrible wheater! It's pouring with rain all day long.. But it's really a good time to do some fun crafty things!

Ik nam een klein houten doosje met een glasplaatje, schilderde het wit

I took a little wooden box with a frame, painted it white

En beplakte het met het prachtige papier van Pion Design en héél veel kant

And adhered the beautiful papers of Pion Design and lots and lots of lace

Ik ben verliefd op de schitterende vlinders en gaf ze net dat beetje extra door er een zelfklevende parel op te plakken

I'm in love with the gorgeous butterflies and gave them a little extra by adding a self adhesive pearl on them

En de binnenkant. Het schattige meisje komt van het vel Little Sweeties from Grandma's Attic (ook Pion Design)

And the inside. The cute little girl is a die cut from the Little Sweeties from Grandma's Attic paper (also Pion Design)

Zucht... vind dit rozenlint echt helemaal te gek!

Sigh... love the rose ribbon to pieces!

Boven op het boeketje heb ik een vlindertje geplakt om het iets meer diepte te geven

On top of the bouquet I put a little butterfly for more depth

Het is echt zo leuk om zoiets te maken!

It's really fun making something like that!

CFY #18: Happy Feet!!

Mijn uitwerking

My result

De inspiratiebron: maak een vrolijke en zomerse layout (of kaart, of wat dan ook), zonder zwart, donkerbruin of kraft cardstock te gebruiken

The source of inspiration: create a happy summer layout (or card or whatever), without using black, dark brown or kraft cardstock

De wolkjes knipte ik uit een dessinvel, de zon maakte ikzelf, net als de vlaggetjeslijn

The clouds I cut out a pp, the sun and the banner I made myself

Met de cirkelsnijder sneed ik rondjes uit, het woordje Summer Days is het merkje van Echo Park
With the circle cutter I made circles, the word Summer Days is the brand of Echo Park

De vlinders zijn gesneden met de Big Shot

The butterflies I cut with the Big Shot

De golfjes zijn uit een dessinvel gesneden en in laagjes met 3d tape opgeplakt zodat je er meer diepte in krijgt

The waves are cut from a pp and adhered with 3d tape, to get more depth

De foto is van vorig jaar, genomen tijdens de zomervakantie in België. Bij onze caravan wordt elke zomer het zwembad opgezet door de mannen waar dankbaar door alle kids (12 stuks in totaal) gebruik van wordt gemaakt.Hier staan Tim en Luuk op z'n kop, een favoriet onderdeel!

The picture is from last year, taken during the Summer Holidays in Belgium. At our caravan the men place the swimming pool every Summer so all the kids (12 in all) can use it. And they do! Here you can see Tim and Luuk upside down, a favorite part!

CFY #17: A Man And His Dog

Ik heb al de nieuwe lijn van Rosa Dotje gebruikt hoor! Ik besloot om het te combineren met de laatste challenge van CFY.

I've already used the lovely new Rosa Dotje papers! I decided to combine them with the latest challenge of CFY.

Dit is de challenge ontworpen door Wilma (Wilma: van harte beterschap!), super hè!

Some details:

De onderste bloem maakte ik met m'n randpons

Made the lowest flower with my borderpunch

Het prachtige rozenlint!

En ik knipte de bloemen uit het dessinpapier

And I cut the flowers out of the patterned paper

Ik had geen tab, dus ik vouwde een label dubbel en niette het vast

I had no tab, so I fold a tag and stapled it

Project 19:

Eindelijk heb ik m'n ladenblokje ( een echte Ikea!) een make over gegeven (bedankt Jen voor het laatste zetje!)

Finally I gave my little chest of drawers ( a real Ikea-one!) a make over (thanks Jen for giving me a push!)

Dit zijn een paar van de Maja Design papiertjes die ik een paar weken terug kocht bij Paper and Pictures en ik vond ze helemaal super voor dit project!

These are some of the Maja Design papers I bought at Paper and Pictures a few weeks ago and I thought they would be great for this project!

Ik gooide rood en beige in de mix en vind het zelf wel erg leuk geworden zo. Ik heb het simpel gehouden, maar in m'n huis hou ik wel van een beetje simpel, het staat al vol genoeg.

I mixed and matched the red and beige ones and love the final result. I kept it simple, but in my home I love simple things.

Project 20

Ik had nog wat papier over en besloot m'n notitieboekje en pennenbakje ook een make over te geven. In dezelfde simpele stijl.

I had some papers left so I decided to give my little notebook and pen-tray a little make over too. In the same simple style.

Gisteren volgde Gepke mijn workshop en bracht haar prachtige nieuwe papierlijn (en m'n bestelde, schitterende rozenlint!) mee. Ik vind het echt super!

Yesterday Gepke followed my workshop and brought her beautiful new paperline (and my ordered gorgeous rose ribbons!) with her. I love it!

Kan niet wachten om er aan te beginnen!

CFY #16: Waking Up

Mijn uitwerking van challenge #16! Een l.o. over het ochtend ritueel van m'n dochtertje. Bo vindt het heerlijk om lekker rustig wakker te worden. Even knuffelen met de hondjes is het eerste wat ze doet 's morgens.

My result of challenge #16! A l.o. about the morning ritual of my little girl. Bo loves to wake up slowly. A little cuddling with the dogs is the first thing she does.

Dit is de sketch. Ik ben keurig begonnen maar ergens ben ik afgedwaald, maar wel duidelijk geïnspireerd toch???

This is the sketch. I started right but somewere I stryed off, but I'm obviously inspired anyway!
